Melissa Mai
is a motion graphics designer who received her Bachelor of Digital Media (now ) from UNSW Art & Design.聽
Melissa works for the creative studio, FSM, which produces graphics, animations and special effects for TV, film, broadcast and social media. The studio鈥檚 output includes commercials (with an aesthetic salute to Popeye the Sailor Man) for Kellogg鈥檚 cereal brands, Vodafone鈥檚 visual and narrative 鈥榮hared data plan鈥 commercial, and the ABC4Kids channel brand. Melissa contributed to teams working on each of these campaigns.聽
FSM is also a major player in the Australian film industry, having produced the special effects and full title credits for Beautiful Kate 鈥 Australia鈥檚 highest earning film on opening weekend 鈥 and Bright Star, for which the New York Magazine said 鈥淭here isn鈥檛 a less than perfect performance.鈥 The hilarious and ironically titled, Not Suitable for Children, had FSM staff in the roles of executive producer, producer, compositor, colourist, and Melissa was the title designer.聽
