STUDENT'S ARTWORK

ARTIST STATEMENT

The artwork explores the creation of human memory and it's subsequent flattening when we have an over reliance of finite digitial data-banks. Led by my favorite childhood teddy bear, the viewers journey through the subconscious landscape represents my journey through life, each section populated by my living memories. As you reach the end of the experience, through scenes that feature the growing influence of technology, the landscape is transformed into a living solid state drive and the memories flatten into generic stock imagery as a conclusion to the pieces cautionary argument. I created the models in blender as well as photo scanning some objects from my life. A lot of the image textures were sourced from my own photography. The interactive scene was then created in Unity.

Artwork medium: Unity

ARTIST INTRODUCTION

I am a 3D artist that aims to tell meaningful stories about the human condition through vivid 3D worldbuilding. My hobbies, from playing Dungeons and Dragons to producing narrative based raves are all centered around an invitation for my audience to become someone else, somewhere else. I am greatly inspired by speculative science fiction and how core human experiences remain recognizable even in unrecognizable worlds.
