Harry is the type of financial advisor who helps clients to create a life plan before creating a financial plan. He believes the learning culture at UNSW, which challenges the status quo, helped set him apart from other financial advisors and prepare him for the fast-paced world of finance.
Harry always wanted to be a financial advisor. He began researching different finance programs while still at high school. The strong reputation of UNSW and its Bachelor of Commerce finance major made this Harry's top choice. He could also take a second major in international business, and combine the degree with a Bachelor of Economics… so he did!
While studying, Harry was surprised by how much he connected with his classmates and lecturers.
"Even though there were over a thousand people in some of my courses, I always felt a part of the big cohort and still built many close friendships which have stood the test of time," he said.
After graduation, Harry grew to become a financial advisor in organisations like Westpac Premium and BT Financial Group helping high net worth clients. It became apparent his purpose was to help people and the best way to do this was by moving away from the big institutions.
"I'm immensely passionate about helping clients, not just with their investments or insurance products, but more so with helping them identify their goals and true purpose and empowering them to manage their finances to allow them to live the life they dream of," he said.
Harry and his business partner proudly run Purpose Advisory. Together, they help people gain financial freedom and live a fulfilled life through life coaching, financial advice and investment mentoring.
