I am a doctoral researcher in Education and a Teaching Fellow in the Faculty of Law & Justice at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). My scholarship addresses higher education (HE) teaching and learning, academic oracy, teacher education, sense of belonging and learning community in HE, Communities of Practice (CoPs), programmatic assessment, and modern languages education. My doctoral research examines how academic oracy, understood as the academic speaking and listening which students require to access their academic learning environments, is taught and experienced by educators and students in undergraduate courses at the Faculties of Law and Medicine.
