Reilly Cox
Reilly joined WRL as a PhD student in 2021 to research 鈥淗elping fish migrate over barriers with the UNSW Tube Fishway鈥.
This research听will focus on the efficient operation of the fishway in lifting a range of endangered听Australian听fish species, while ensuring听minimal injuries to the fish. Optimising the听operation with live fish will pave听the way for the deployment of the Tube Fishway to higher barriers such as major dams.听
Reilly completed a dual bachelor鈥檚 degree in Civil and Environmental engineering at UNSW graduating with 1st听class honours. During his undergraduate program, he investigated microroughness effects on spillways.听听
