Policymakers must have access to the best possible research and analysis to ensure their health investments save as many lives as possible. Our cross-cutting techniques and tools include modelling and health economic, epidemiology and pharmacoepidemiology, implementation science, and qualitative and co-design methods.

Mathematical modelling

Through engagement with policy makers, clinicians, patient groups and other researchers, we promote multi-disciplinary research that improves health, healthcare and wellbeing, and health-decision-making.

Epidemiology and pharmacoepidemiology

Working closely with policy, practice and community leaders we design and implement epidemiology studies to inform public health policy.

Implementation science

In partnership with academic, health and not-for-profit organisations, we develop, deliver, and evaluate implementation strategies, workshops and toolkits for healthcare professionals and researchers.

Qualitative and co-design methods

To ensure participation, equity and diversity in decision making across our research projects we use qualitative methods and co-design with key stakeholders.

Health economics

We undertake a variety of methodological and applied health economics research to inform policy and resource allocation decisions in Australia and overseas.
