The day began with welcomes from Prof Cheryl Jones, Prof Anushka Patel, and Prof Alta Schutte, setting the stage for exciting discussions. Highlights included presentations on GLP-1 RA Therapy as well as talks on sleep, gut health, and novel optical microscopy technologies. Important equity issues for rural and Indigenous communities, women, and the Australian Hypertension Taskforce鈥檚 roadmap were also discussed

The final session, 鈥淣avigating the Path to Success,鈥 was especially inspiring. Researchers shared personal stories about facing and braving challenges, finding unique paths to success. Senior researchers on the panel and in the audience eagerly offered valuable tips and insights, addressing real-life questions and concerns of early and mid-career researchers. Knowing there is no one-size-fits-all solution, it was a heartening reminder that with resilience and creativity, challenges can become opportunities.

The poster sessions, organised by the CVMM ECR Committee, showcased innovative research.聽

The CVMM ECR Committee played a crucial role in organising the event, co-chairing each session, and joining the panel discussions. Their efforts ensured everything ran smoothly.

Overall, the CVMM Symposium was a memorable day of learning, growth, and community. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring cardiovascular and metabolic colleagues together, strengthening our community. We look forward to the next one in 2025!
