Congratulations to Drs Binod Rayamajhee and Janelle Tong have been honoured with the Dean's Award for Outstanding PhD Theses!
Binod's thesis, supervised by Scientia Associate Professor Nicole Carnt, Professor Mark Willcox, and Professor Fiona L. Henriquez, is titled "Investigation of genotypes and intracellular microbiome composition of Acanthamoeba spp. isolated from clinical and environmental samples."
Janelle's thesis, supervised by Adjunct Professor Michael Kalloniatis, Dr. David Alonso-Caneiro, and Associate Professor Sieu Khuu, is titled "Application of novel techniques enabling detection of early functional deficits in ocular pathologies."
This award recognizes PhD graduates who have completed their degree promptly, produced a thesis with minimal corrections, and achieved outstanding levels of excellence.
