Examining the pathways of young people referred to AOD treatment
The presentation will include linked data analyses from the Youth Pathways ARC funded study, including a focus on mortality, hospitalisations and convictions data and include a discussion of the experience of Aboriginal young people in mainstream programs.
Associate Professor Sally Nathan is a combined track academic with a research program characterized by the use of multiple methods to examine complex psychological, behavioral, community, and socio-political changes. Her research has focused on a variety of topics, including consumer/community participation in health service decision-making and governance, advocacy by the non-government sector, capacity building for health development, refugee settlement, sport for development and social change, Aboriginal health and well-being, sexual and reproductive health, and adolescent drug and alcohol treatment.
