Dr Anton Didenko
Anton is a Senior Lecturer at UNSW Sydney specialising in banking and finance law, with a focus on FinTech and open banking/open finance. He has published widely on the legal aspects of central bank digital currencies (CBDC) and other digital assets, regulatory sandboxes, decentralised finance and open banking/open finance/open data. He is the author of听 (11th edn, LexisNexis, 2024) and lead author of (Routledge, 2024).
Prior to joining UNSW Sydney, Anton worked as a senior banking lawyer in various roles, including as head of legal support of international operations in major commercial banks and senior associate at a law firm in London. He is regularly engaged as an expert in financial regulation by international organisations and policymakers including the Group of 20 (G20), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) and UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF).
Anton also specialises in the area of secured transactions law and transnational commercial law: he is the author of a on the documentary history of the Cape Town Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment (Hart, 2021) and the general editor of the Cape Town Convention Journal.
Anton holds several law degrees from Russia and the UK, including an MJur and a DPhil from the University of Oxford.
