I am a visionary researcher at the forefront of cyber-physical systems, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence, dedicated to pioneering cutting-edge solutions that enhance the security, resilience, and intelligence of autonomous systems. My work pushes the boundaries of AI-driven cybersecurity, ensuring that next-generation UAVs, robotics, and critical infrastructure can operate securely in adversarial and dynamic environments.
I hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. With an interdisciplinary foundation spanning AI, adversarial machine learning, robotics, and cybersecurity, I specialise in developing robust, intelligent defence mechanisms to protect autonomous platforms against evolving cyber threats.
My research is driven by a bold vision: to integrate AI-powered security architectures into autonomous and cyber-physical systems, fortifying them against cyberattacks, adversarial manipulations, and real-time operational risks. I am particularly passionate about trustworthy autonomy, focusing on adversarial defence strategies, penetration-resistant architectures, and secure AI-driven decision-making for UAVs and robotic platforms.
Recognised internationally as a leader in the field, I have secured over AUD 3 million in highly competitive research funding, including grants from the Australian Research Council (ARC), the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Centre, and the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG). My track record of research excellence is demonstrated through high-impact publications in premier IEEE Transactions journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, and IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems.
Beyond research, I actively shape the future of cybersecurity and AI through strategic industry partnerships, policy influence, and next-generation workforce development. I lead multi-disciplinary research teams, collaborate with defence and government agencies, and design AI-driven cybersecurity frameworks that have real-world impact.
