I am a Research Fellow at the George Institute for Global Health Australia, working on various research projects to support the scale-up of potassium-enriched salt across the globe. I obtained my PhD in 2022 from the University of Wollongong, Australia with my thesis exploring the impacts and relevance of whole-grain food definitions in research and public health promotion. I am a multi-published scientific author with research interests in cardiovascular disease, dietary intake and public health. I have experience in various research methodologies and statistical analyses, and have worked across several international research collaborations with researchers in China, Nigeria, United States, United Kingdom, Sweden, France, and Denmark. I have also presented my work at 4 international and 8 domestic conference meetings. In addition, I am also an Accredited Practicing Dietitian currently working in chronic disease and the youth mental health space and I am a mentor in the Dietitians Australia APD program.

My research primarily focuses on potassium-enriched salt and cardiovascular disease. This work aims to switch the world's salt supply from regular salt to potassium-enriched salt to save the lives of thousands of people globally.

My other area of research focuses on whole grains, examining the health benefits of whole grains, how they are defined, developing global recommendations, and exploring how to translate these messages to consumers.
