Dr Sarasadat Taherymoosavi
PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering, the University of New South Wales.
I completed my PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of NSW in 2016. My doctoral candidacy focused on the characterization of nano-scale organo-mineral biochars, using a wide range of analytical techniques, for various applications, such as soil amendments, water and air filters. Currently, I work as a Research Fellow听in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at the UNSW. My research focuses on the characterization of physical, electro-chemical and micro-structural properties of mixed-feedstock-biochars, soil and biological samples, as well as designing valuable by-products from waste biomass.

I have had a great contribution in writing proposals and submitting for funding. I delivered a number of milestone reports to academic and industry partners, including CSRIO and NSW Department of Primary Industries, which has led to a considerable funding for further research in the field.
Scholarship from the University of New South Wales in 2013.
I have conducted multiple collaborative research projects between the UNSW and international partner organizations since 2016. These successful collaborations have led to over听twenty papers in this field.
