Vicki is the Senior Research Associate at the Centre for the Future of the Legal Profession, Faculty of Law & Justice, UNSW. With over 30 years of experience across the legal sector, she is admitted to practice law in NSW. Vicki has held leadership roles in global and Australian law firms, and corporate legal operations teams in the financial services and FMCG sectors, in addition to her experience as a practising lawyer.

Vicki's key areas of professional expertise include:

  • Knowledge Management (KM): Extensive experience in developing KM frameworks, designing strategies, and overseeing enterprise knowledge initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Legal Technology: Highly proficient in technology acquisition, project management, delivery and adoption, and in assisting organisations to navigate the intersection of law and technology.
  • Business Leadership: Highly experienced in team management and engagement, business planning, process redesign, and innovation strategy management, to drive positive change.

Vicki’s research currently focuses on the impact of generative artificial intelligence on the legal profession and legal services; addressing unmet legal need through deregulation and technology; recruitment and retention strategies within the legal profession; and developing essential skills and competencies for legal leadership roles. These areas will expand as the work of the Centre progresses.
