I am an ARC DECRA Research Fellow based at the University of New South Wales, Australia. I have broad research interests in palaeoclimate and contemporary/future climates. My current work involves the understanding of tipping points and positive feedbacks within the Earth System, and determining the timing, teleconnections, and impacts of past atmospheric circulation change.聽I have extensive fieldwork experience in the southern mid- to high-latitudes and use a range of laboratory-based techniques to understand the operation of the Earth System during periods of past change.
I am Associate Director of the Chronos 14Carbon-Cycle Facility at UNSW, housing the first Mini Carbon Dating System (MICADAS) Accelerator Mass Spectrometer in the Southern Hemisphere, which automates the high-precision measurement of radiocarbon.聽
