Set yourself up for success for the HSC and beyond
As part of the program, you'll learn how to navigate your final exams, explore your interests and apply for uni. Take part in workshops, on-campus days and online learning, and gain support in applying for the Gateway Admission Pathway to fast-track your entry into UNSW.
Year 10 is a great time to start thinking about what the future holds. If you’re interested in pursuing an ATAR and applying for uni, our Gateway Program is a great first step on your journey.
The Gateway Program is available for students in Year 10 at Gateway partner schools, who intend to pursue an ATAR and are interested in attending university. Your school will need to sign up for you to attend.

You can still explore your options and begin preparing for university on your own. The Gateway Program is available to Year 11 students who intend to pursue an ATAR and meet one of the following criteria: 1) attend a Gateway school; 2) live in a low-socioeconomic area based on IRSAD or IEO indexes of SEIFA; or 3) are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. You can check your school and your personal eligibility below.

Access the OpenLearning site, packed with interactive resources.
23 - 26 June | Gateway Online Program
Participate in subject-specific online workshops led by experienced HSC markers, study skills workshops led by current University Ambassadors, info sessions about the Gateway Admission Pathway, and more.
10 July | Gateway On-campus Day
Visit UNSW Sydney for a taste of uni life and the opportunity to participate in interactive sessions led by Faculty academics and academic masterclasses.

If you’re a Year 12 student getting ready to apply for uni, you may be eligible for our Gateway Admission Pathway. Successful applicants receive an early offer to UNSW or a conditional offer with reduced ATAR requirements for their chosen degree.
