STUDENT'S ARTWORK

ARTIST STATEMENT

After conducting research, I intend to create a short animation about 3 characters who wear unique clothes. These clothes will be made of natural material. My project aims to create a museum for abstract characters. Each of them will represent a different material. The Infinity-endless Video Artwork in the ZKM museum gives me an idea about the clothes which have long fur. Besides, Method Studio has inspired me to create clothes covered by stone and flowers. Normally, we only see stone, fur, grass in a natural environment.  + Grass Character: This character is made of grass and flowers. It is symbol natural’s beauty + Glass Character: It is made of glass and flowers. It makes character look like water in natural environment + Rock Character: Rock also comes naturally but it shows the audience about the strength. Normally, glass and flowers represent beauty.

Therefore, we want one character which is the symbol of strength Animation of the character will be created by Mixamo. In this website, every animation has been created by motion capture. I want the audience to think that they are watching real humans. On the other hand, I will use dynamic simulation in Blender to make animation for clothes. This movement will follow the character's animation which is created by motion capture. The stage and assets will be 3D models and I will set them up with lightning in Blender. Finally, I use after effect and Premiere for final render.

Artwork medium: Blender
