ARTIST STATEMENT
The story takes place in a purgatory-esque location where, just before death, the characters go on a journey by train. The main character wakes up on the train and accidently takes the role of the train conductor when a creature appears at a station. The journey through different kinds of unique landscapes and pick up even more characters which give off a dreamscape feel, even soaring above clouds. The different characters get off at different stops, reflecting how different people’s outlooks and religions may lead them to different destinations in the after-life.  This was my first time animating so it might have been a bit much but I enjoyed the process and the final product. I made the characters more simple so I could invest time into the backgrounds as it was a core part of the storytelling and I think it created a balance between the two and formed a unique style.

ARTIST INTRODUCTION
Hello! I'm Jasmine, a 2nd year design student who somehow ended up taking Animation 1 in term 2 thinking it would be a relaxing term with only two very content heavy courses. I major in Graphics and Interaction design, with a preference for interaction and I don't really know what else to introduce. Hope you enjoy the animation! :D
