Artwork title: Swan Song

Swan Song is an animated story piece motivated in contemplation of our past and current encounters with COVID-19. The narrative is delineated in regard to the overwhelming dread and hysteria many may have experienced while in self-isolation and quarantine. To put it simply, the story depicts a lone orchestra conductor performing what seems to be the grand 铿乶al symphony of his life right at the corners of their own living room in front of a pretend audience that he has fabricated or fantasized in their fragile mind/psyche. The piece is a conceptual extension to the experience of cabin fever; this can be de铿乶ed as the 鈥榩sychological symptoms that a person may experience when they are con铿乶ed to their home for extended periods鈥 which result in possible feelings of irritability, stir-craziness, restlessness and impatience. Swan Song is a direct display of our minds鈥 machinations of the limitless possibilities when our lives our propelled into an idle hold of inconstant limbo. Ultimately. it is an animated narrative that ampli铿乪s our unful铿乴led longing to be a part of the world again while also serving as a story that echoes our psyche in the wake of our self-isolated crisis.
