The Annual is Australia’s largest showcase of graduate art and design, launching a new generation of creative practitioners from the UNSW School of Art & Design. This year, 187 artists, designers and makers present new work across the Paddington campus and online.Â

Creative Conversations latest episode - Power of Multisensory Design
UNSW ADA Innovation Hub and Vince Frost of Frost*collective bring you the third in the series of Creative Conversations designed to explore and untangle important developments in the creative industries. In this engaging conversation – The Power of Multisensory Design – Vince was joined by leading experts in the field of design:

A decade of design innovation -Â Cushla McFadden
Cushla's passion for the built environment and design emerged from a deep appreciation for the natural world she had from an early age. At UNSW, Cushla pursued a Bachelor of Interior Architecture, a program that seamlessly blended art history and architecture, providing her with the ideal platform to unleash her creativity onto a tangible career path. The rigorous coursework at UNSW not only honed her skills but also instilled the importance of structure in the creative process, equipping her to tackle complex projects with determination and resilience.
1 in 12 Australians experience ‘multiple deprivation’: new poverty and inequality partnership report
People receiving JobSeeker are around five times more likely to experience multiple deprivation than the general population, according to a new report by the Poverty and Inequality Partnership led by ACOSS and UNSW Sydney.
 found about one in two people relying on JobSeeker and one in three sole parents are experiencing multiple material deprivation, compared to about one in twelve people nationally.Â
Multiple material deprivation is when a person lacks two or more essential items because they can’t afford them. Examples include a decent and secure home, a yearly dental check-up and $500 in savings for emergencies.Â
UNSOMNIA talk: The hidden power of friendship
Despite the rush of technological breakthroughs, we find ourselves drifting into a crisis of connection, profound loneliness and division. Nevena Krups takes us on a heartfelt journey, revealing how the ancient and seemingly simple art of friendship can serve as a powerful source to bridge divides and heal a fragmented society. Drawing from her poignant experiences in former Yugoslavia, Krups illuminates how true friendship, with its embrace of differences and commitment to understanding, can transform political landscapes and infuse our world with essential humanness.
