Enhance the next generation of immersive technologies for medical surgeries.
Learn how imaging, visualisation and personalised simulations can be used to assist with difficult surgeries, ranging from the spine to heart atrial fibrillation intervention, using 3D visualisation in real-time – so 4D.

VIP ChallENG research goals

Developing a platform to visualise surgery using a tracked catheter system and virtual organ such as a heart to guide surgeons in real time.

Your research team will:

  • Develop a tele-operated catheter
  • Generate a virtual heart platform
  • Register the simulation with the phantom operation
  • Evaluate the performance of the system
