Conjoints
Working together to improve medical education & research
UNSW Medicine & Health works together to create significant advances in health through research and education, especially for individuals and communities in need. Working with the best teachers and researchers, inside and outside UNSW, we train our students to become leaders in healthcare.
We foster original thinking, diversity and collegiality. We build new connections in research and education through our many networks and affiliated organisations. UNSW Medicine & Health confers conjoint titles to thank our talented supporters who contribute to the continuous improvement of our students and faculty through teaching and research. As a conferred conjoint titleholder, you can influence medical education in many ways. Whether it鈥檚 student assessment or examinations, student mentoring, or teaching contributions, conjoints are a crucial part of our faculty.
We also confer conjoint titles to individuals who actively collaborate with UNSW Medicine & Health on research, supervise postgraduate research students and receive successful research grants.
UNSW Medicine & Health enters a mutually beneficial relationship with our conjoints. Through your tangible contributions in teaching and research, you鈥檙e acknowledged as part of the UNSW academic community. A conjoint title can be attached to a school, campus, discipline, centre or research institute. Conjoint titles are awarded based on merit and are valid for a specific period.聽
UNSW Medicine & Health takes its affiliation with conferred conjoint titleholders very seriously, as you鈥檙e representing UNSW in the community. As a current or potential conjoint titleholder affiliated with UNSW Medicine & Health, it鈥檚 important you read and understand the Standard and Procedures to ensure you meet the requirements and understand the affiliation. We鈥檙e here to help if you have any questions. Contact your current or desired school, centre, or institute first and we can assist you from there.
