Need help accepting your offer or enrolling in your first courses over the university shutdown period?
We will have modified opening hoursÌýover theÌýÌýavailable to new students, starting from 5pm on Monday 23 December 2024. While the campus will be closed, you can still phone us during our modified hours. We will be operating limited services dedicated to helping you get started at UNSW.Ìý
The Nucleus: Student Hub will return to our regular hours and services from 10am on Monday 6 January 2025. Our remain open during this time and ourÌý are available should you need them.

Enrolment is a two-step process at UNSW: course enrolment and class registration, all done through myUNSW. Each term, you will be assigned a class registration appointment to finalise your timetable for the upcoming teaching period.Ìý

Tuition for your studies will be shown as payable on your Fee Statement until the for the enrolment. It allows you to make a student contribution to your fees upfront if you would like to reduce the amount that gets deferred to your HECS-HELP.
If you have enough balance to defer to HECS-HELP and don't want to pay your student contributions upfront, your fees will be automatically deferred after the census date of the enrolment and no further action is required from you.ÌýPayments made after the census date will not be applied to your student contribution charges for the current enrolment.

The release of course content on Moodle is managed by each course convenor. Typically, the Moodle content is made available a week before the commencement of the term. However, it is also common for some course content to be available on Moodle only from the first day of the term.Ìý
If you have recently updated your enrolment, please allow 48 hours for the course to appear on your Moodle. If you still do not have access to these courses and have confirmed that you are correctly registered in the course on myUNSW, contact your course convenors via email to request access.Ìý

If you have pending grades such as LE, WC, WJ or WD, you may have a provisional academic standing. Academic standing will be recalculated on a weekly basis until your withheld results are resolved. However, if your academic standing has still not been recalculated a week after your grades have been updated, contact The Nucleus: Student Hub for support.Ìý

If you are unable to to sit your exam or submit your assessment by the due date because of circumstances beyond your control, you may be eligible to apply for Special Consideration or Short Extension.Ìý
Short Extension is a new process that allows you to apply for an extended deadline on your assessmentÌýwithout the need for supporting documentation, providing immediate approval during brief, life-disrupting events.Ìý
If you are unable to attend your exam, require more time to complete your assessment, or your course does not offer Short Extension, you may check your eligibility for Special Consideration instead.Ìý
