Ready to choose your courses?Â
Once you know which courses to enrol in for the upcoming teaching period, head to myUNSW to complete the first step of enrolment.

Course enrolment is step one of the two-step enrolment process at UNSW. It is when you will select the courses (subjects) that you will be taking at UNSW for the following year, allowing you to reserve your spot in courses for multiple teaching periods.Ìý

If you are starting a new program, you can enrol in courses once you have accepted Part II of your offer. (.)Ìý
If you are continuing a program, we will send details of your annual Course Enrolment Appointment to your . Your 'appointment' is the specific day and time you can start enrolling in your courses for the following year.

1. Let's get started! Access your enrolment basket in myUNSW.
Whether you're adding, swapping or dropping a course, this will be your first step.
a) Log in to the ''Â section on myUNSW.
b) On the Year Selection page, click 'Update Enrolment' on the row that indicates your current program and the correct year:

Can't see your program details for the upcoming year? Please contact The Nucleus: Student Hub for help.Ìý
Can see your program details but can't click 'Update Enrolment'? If you are a continuing student, check your . If you are a new student, make sure you have completed Part I and Part II of .Ìý
You can now proceed to Add a course, Swap a course or Drop a course. Follow our steps below!

2. Add your courses to your enrolment basket.
We strongly recommend that you decide what courses you want to enrol in before proceeding, and following the steps for Option 1 below.
Tips for deciding what courses to take:
- Use myPlan to track your progress and search for courses to add to your study plan (release 1 students).
- Use the  to search for courses and detailed course information.Ìý
- Refer to the progression plan (also called a sample program or degree template) for your program.Ìý
- Use the  to search for courses.Ìý
- If you are a new student, check your personalised offer page for course selection advice for the first term. A link to this should be in your email, but if you can't find it, contact The Nucleus: Student Hub.Ìý
Option 1: If you know the names and/or codes for the courses you want to enrol in
a) Enter a course code or name into the search field and click 'Search'. You can enter multiple courses separated by a comma:
Your selected courses will now appear in your enrolment basket as below. Proceed to Step 3.Ìý
Option 2:Â If you don't know the names and/or codes for the courses you want to enrol inÂ
a) Leave the search field blank and click 'Search':
b) On the Course Search page, adjust the filters to match your preferences and click 'Search':
c) On the Search Results page, tick the boxes beside the courses that you want to enrol in and click 'Select Courses':
Your selected courses will now appear in your enrolment basket as below. Proceed to Step 3.Ìý
3. Confirm your course enrolment
a) Select the courses in your enrolment basket by ticking the box beside each one under Select? and then click 'Confirm Enrolment Request':
b) On the Confirm Enrolment Request page, click 'Submit Enrolment Request':Ìý
You should then get a Success message:
Your updated Course Enrolment page will now display a single green tick beside the courses you have successfully enrolled in:Â
Troubleshooting
If you receive an error when trying to enrol in courses, check that you are not trying to enrol in:Â Â
- too many courses - the maximum units of credit (UOC) per term is 18, or 12 in Summer TermÂ
- an incorrect term order - you must enrol in at least one course in Term 1 before enrolling in Term 2 and at least one course in Term 2 before enrolling in Term 3Â
- a course that has a (indicated on the ) that you are not also enrolling in, and that you haven't already completedÂ
- a course that has a (indicated on the ) that you have not successfully completed, or that you are not enrolled in for a prior termÂ

2. Select the courses that you want to swap
a)Â Click 'Swap' alongside the course that you would like to swap:
b) If you know the code or name of the course that you want to enrol in, enter it into the search field. If not, adjust the filters to match your course preferences. Then click 'Search':
c) Select the course that you want to swap into and click 'Select Courses':Ìý
3. Confirm your course enrolment
a)Â The Course Enrolment page will now display both the course you are enrolled in and the course you want to swap into. There will be a single box beside them under the heading Select?. Tick the box and click 'Confirm Enrolment Request':
b) On the Confirm Enrolment Request page, click 'Submit Enrolment Request':Ìý
You should then get a Success message.
Note:Â You will not lose your spot in your enrolled course until you complete all the above steps.Ìý

There are several deadlines you need to be aware of when considering dropping a course. You can drop a course without financial and academic penalty up until the census date.Ìý
- International students: It is a condition of your student visa that you be enrolled in 48 units of credit (UOC) in a year and at least 12 UOC in a term. If there are reasons why you cannot study 48 UOC in a year or 12 UOC a term, you will need to apply to reduce your study load.Ìý
- Want to drop the last/only course that you're enrolled in for a term? You cannot drop your last course in a term. If you want to drop all of your courses and you intend to return to study later, you need to apply for Program Leave before the census date. If you do not intend to return to study, you need to apply for Program Discontinuation.Ìý
2. Select the course that you want to drop
a)Â Click 'Drop' alongside the course that you would like to drop:
3. Confirm your course enrolment
a) On the Confirm Enrolment Request page, click 'Submit Enrolment Request':Ìý
c) Check that you get a Success ³¾±ð²õ²õ²¹²µ±ð:Ìý
