Regulating the availability of alcohol is a key way to reduce harm from alcohol consumption and local governments play a significant role.  Â
This fellowship provides the first systematic examination of the impact and development of local government regulation on alcohol availability based on comparative policy analysis. Â
The findings can inform Australian planning and licensing policies to help appropriate regulation of alcohol outlets to reduce alcohol-related harm.
